The Ford GT40 is a legend that doesn't need any introduction. It is the car that beat Ferrari during the 1966 24 hours of Le Mans, finishing at the first three places. It is undoubtedly one of the most famous race cars, and for many enthusiasts, if it remained only one, that would be her.

After launching the Cobra 427 continuation, Shelby has supervised the production of the Ford GT40 Continuation that are built by the renowned firm Superformance. Like the Cobra continuation the GT40 Continuation are not simple replicas, but continuation models that are built in conformity with the original car. Moreover, 85% of the parts are interchangeable with the original. The continuations are also the only ones to carry a VIN GT40/Pxxxx following the original numbers. Last but not least, they are listed in the Shelby registry.

Of course, the dimensions of the GT40 continuation are strictly identical to the original. They are built on the same monocoque chassis, have the same suspensions, the same interior, an adjustable pedal box, Smith gauges, an exhaust header like the original, Hallibrand wheels, ... The only modern touch consist in an efficient air conditioning system hidden in the car, and ultra lightweight Wilwood brakes.

The car we offer is like new car, and has only been driven a few hundred setup miles. The car is a MK1 with a Roush 427 IR engine, with the 8 stack injection system, that is rated at 560 HP. The gearbox is a ZF/RBT 5 speed. With this engine, this GT40 continuation is even faster than the original GT40 than won Le Mans in 1966, with a max speed over 207 mph, and a 0 to 60 in just 3.6 seconds.

There is no other model closest to the original than this GT40 continuation. This superb GT40 is immediately available in France with its French registration.
We also have other new GT40 continuation available through our Shelby partner. Please get in touch with us for colors, and engines available.
